Knee Surgery For Anthony Reddick of Hurricanes Football

April 24th, 2007 · No Comments

University of Miami safety Anthony Reddick, who figured to enter fall practice battling for a starting job, will likely miss the 2007 season after undergoing knee surgery on Monday to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Reddick injured his knee recently playing in a pickup basketball game.

The injury is the latest blow for Reddick, who followed a strong freshman campaign in 2004 with a pair of forgettable seasons.

In 2005, Reddick was sidelined after he blew out his right ACL in the season opener against Florida State. Last season, Reddick was suspended for four games as the result of his actions during a brawl against FIU.

Reddick, a junior, could be eligible for a sixth season of eligibility if he misses the entire 2007 season
