Knee Surgery for Boston Red Socks David Ortiz
Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee Tuesday.
The procedure was designed to address a cartilage problem and was performed at Massachusetts General Hospital by Dr. Thomas Gill.
Ortiz will begin rehabilitation immediately and is expected to be ready for spring training.
One of the most dangerous hitters in baseball, Ortiz hit .332 with 35 home runs and 117 runs batted in for the World Series champions in 2007
